Situated less than an hour from London Oxford  is a must as it is renowned for its history and heritage, exquisite architecture, and ancient University, Oxford sits at the very heart of this rural county. Take time out to enjoy the county's bustling market towns, discover the film and literary connections or take in the heritage though the numerous museums and attractions. Shopping in the High Street is vibrant, a slightly curved street that is host to a number of Oxford's finest restaurants, jewellers , fashion outlets, antique dealers, the famous Oxford University shop and of course St Mary’s church. Cowley Road and St Clements are both Arterial roads in to the heart of Oxford. Both of these roads are literally a five minute walk from the Magdalen Bridge, at the bottom of the High Street and the area is home to a multi cultural diverse population. Lets not forget the covered market right in the centre of town and is home to food, fashion and some of Oxford’s finest independent traders. The Pitt Rivers Museum offers a slightly out-of-the-ordinary artefacts that can be found in this University museum, including a witch in a bottle, shrunken heads on sticks and a puffer fish lantern. The Bate Collection of Musical Instruments has over 2000 instruments from the Western orchestral music traditions from the renaissance, through the baroque, classical, romantic and up to modern times.  More than a thousand instruments are on display, by all the most important makers and from pre-eminent collectors.
